Clue-by-Four: Ramblings of a Jock Dork

About Me — The Teacher

I’m just a SoCal single dad trying to make sense of the brokenness that is the Los Angeles area. In my spare time, I try to empower high school students to shed their sheep-like personalities (via literature discussion). I also kick ass on the diamond, bloviate on most everything I think I know, and dance on nights I pretend to be a cowboy.

This blog is about many things. It is, at times, crude and raw. But, I like to think that my point-of-view is relevant to life in the modern world. So, I thrust it upon you [which could be a suggestive reference…so is swinging a bat and using a pen].

Over time, I will like up with other pseudo intellectuals and we will create a flotilla of newborn hopes and shattered dreams. Ah, who am I kidding. I’m simply writing because I’m an arrogant prick.

Welcome to my blog.

Hey this is kind of random, but i was doing some research and somehow came across the blog (which by the way had nothing to do with my research). “How To Destroy Your Relationship In Ten Boozy Hours” By theengagementproject from way back in April 21, 2010. After reading everything posted i came to agree with you. Almost all if not all the women who posted responses to it viewed it as ‘innocent’. The behaviour that occured that afternoon/night is repulsive and i find it increadibly disgusting that so many think that there is nothing wrong with it. Even the men thought of it as a joke, yet it is far from that. You were right in what you said about the situation and i’m pleased that someone besides me thinks the same as i do about the events that took place. And i would like to congratulate you on not backing down when the writer acted so pathetically and changed what you had written (“wow you’re hot! date me?”) how inmature.

Now to present times, nice going with the single dad thing (i think men deserve as much supports as women in the single parent scene). Also students with their sheep-like-personalities are frusterating, what ever happened to being your own person? Me personally think maybe thats why i’m bullied at school… I can’t even stand wearing clothes that other people are wearing, it makes me wonder how they can act like sheep. I like your view on things, and where you say you’re an arrogent prick, it’s not always a bad thing. I wish there was someone at my school like you to send a wake-up call (to both teachers and students). Many of the teachers treat those like me who are’t part of the ‘popular’ group badly and most of the students are sheep. 😦

Keep up the good work 🙂

Hang in there. School only lasts so long. As an adult, you will be able to recreate your social environment. I was bullied in high school for no being a super nerd (I went to a backwards school where athletes were held in contempt).

It wasn’t until I graduated that I found a group of my peers.
